The best way to get started is to use our "Register" feature on the website. You can schedule a complimentary introductory class where we will assess your level, discuss your goals, and recommend the most suitable class for you. We offer classes for every age and level.
We provide a comprehensive curriculum for young dancers. Styles include Ballet (from Pre-Ballet to Advance and Pointe), Chinese and Asian Dance, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, and Acro/gymnastics. Our classes are designed age-appropriately to focus on both technical skills and artistic expression.
Yes, we have weekly adult dance classes! We welcome absolute beginners as well as experienced dancers. We have adult classes in various styles such as ballet, Chinese dance, etc.

DAA provides exceptional performance experiences at amazing Houston venues such as Miller Outdoor Theatre, Discovery Green, Rockets and Texans Halftime Shows, Asia Society, Children’s Museum, Worthan Theatre, numerous regional and national dance competitions and so much more. Our season culminates in an annual recital at a professional theatre in the spring time.
Leotard, tights and ballet shoes are required for class. Hair should be pulled back away from the face in a ponytail or bun..
Yes, you can register mid-year, subject to availability in the class. We will assess your age and dance experience to place you in a suitable class. Tuition fees will be prorated based on the remaining weeks in the semester
Yes, we offer one-on-one and small group private lessons. This service primarily targets students with specific goals, such as learning a dance for performances and competitions as well as those wishing to focus on strengthening their technique and performance ability. Private lesson schedules need to be coordinated directly with the office.
